Epcot Project G 217

Project G 217 is a construction permit that was filed by The Walt Disney Company for work on the former Innovations West building in Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. The permit covers foundation work on the building, which is located in the area of the old Club Cool. The permit was issued on December 6, 2022 and expires on December 31, 2023.

The Innovations West building was originally opened in 1982 as part of Epcot’s opening day lineup. It housed a variety of exhibits that explored the future of technology, including a flight simulator and a walk-through time machine. The building closed in 2001 and has been vacant since then.

The construction of Project G 217 is part of a larger effort by Disney to revitalize Epcot.
