Villa Guérice

Villa Guérice is a neoclassical villa located in Carouge, Geneva, Switzerland. It was built in 1830 by architect Jean-Pierre-François de La Rive.

The villa is a four-story building with a central courtyard. The exterior is made of white limestone and has a symmetrical facade. The interior is decorated with a mix of neoclassical and Art Deco styles. The villa has a total of 12 rooms, including a ballroom, a library, and a dining room.

In 2017, Villa Guérice underwent a major renovation. The renovation work was carried out by architect Patrick Devanthéry. The goal of the renovation was to restore the villa to its original state and to make it more energy-efficient.

The renovation work included the following:

  • Repairing the exterior of the villa
  • Restoring the interior decorations
  • Installing new insulation and windows
  • Replacing the heating and cooling systems

The renovation work was completed in 2018. Villa Guérice is now a popular tourist destination and is used for a variety of events, including weddings, concerts, and conferences.
