Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud computing platform offered by Amazon that provides a range of services such as compute, storage, databases, analytics, machine learning, and more. AWS has a data center located in Michigan, USA, which is one of the many regions where AWS operates globally. The Michigan region is officially known as the “US East (Michigan)” region and provides AWS customers with low-latency access to AWS services from the eastern part of the United States. The Michigan region has multiple availability zones, which are separate and distinct data centers within the region that are designed to be isolated from each other to provide high availability and fault tolerance.
