Ethel Walker School Dorm

The Ethel Walker School is a private, college preparatory, boarding, and day school for girls in grades 6 through 12 plus postgraduate located in Simsbury, Connecticut.

The school was founded in 1911 by Ethel Walker, a graduate of Wellesley College. She was inspired to start the school after seeing the lack of educational opportunities for girls at the time.

The Ethel Walker School is currently renovating one of its dormitories, Walker Hall. The renovation is expected to be completed in 2024. The project includes the following:

  • The addition of 12 new bedrooms, bringing the total number of bedrooms in the dormitory to 48.
  • The renovation of all existing bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
  • The installation of new furniture, flooring, and fixtures.
  • The improvement of the HVAC system.
  • The addition of a new laundry room and study lounge.
